About the Role
A specialist SEND school in Chorley is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school supports pupils across both primary and secondary phases, offering a varied and engaging environment. This role is ideal for individuals from care or support-based backgrounds who are looking to transition into education.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide classroom support across a range of subjects and age groups
* Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils with additional needs
* Support behaviour management and engagement in learning
* Assist with personal care in a respectful and dignified manner
* Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet pupil needs
* Encourage independence and confidence in pupils
Who We're Looking For
* Experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, or similar
* A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Adaptable and calm under pressure
* Open to working across primary or secondary (or both)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
