Overview
Customer Assistant - Warehouse Operative - Port Glasgow. This role involves early shifts and requires applicants to be 18 or older for health and safety reasons. Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in Operations to help keep our store running smoothly behind the scenes.
Work pattern
Week 1: Wednesday 07:00-11:00; Thursday 11:00-15:00; Saturday 03:45-07:45. Week 2: Sunday 04:45-08:45; Monday 18:00-22:00; Tuesday 18:00-22:00.
Responsibilities
* Accept deliveries, unpack goods, and prepare crates to ensure the shop floor is fully stocked.
* Use in-store systems and tools to track deliveries, manage stock, and ensure products are where they need to be.
* Serve customers on the shop floor and at service points; keep the store clean and tidy; maintain stocked shelves.
* Monitor daily sales targets, priorities, promotions, and selling opportunities; engage with customers to understand their needs and provide service.
* Build product knowledge to sell and recommend products and services.
* Receive training to utilise digital tools and communication channels to deliver for the customer.
