This role is based in a busy manual picking warehouse, working within a small multiskilled team. Where main duties will include the physically picking and packing of customer orders for dispatch to meet timely deadlines. Unloading and loading lorries, receiving, replenishing and checking stock, and dealing with customer returns. Whilst at all times delivering an exceptional customer service to both internal and external customer.
The ideal candidate will support all aspects of the effective day to day operation in the warehouse, ensuring a high level of quality, accuracy and performance is achieved individually and as a team.
Key Responsibilities and Activities:
1. Receives, checks in and put away of supplier stock, unloading vehicles
2. Sorting, placing and replenishing product or items in to locations, racks, and shelves.
3. Manually picks items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery and pickup according to a schedule.
4. Ensure safe stacking and storage of pallets and loading of stock onto vehicles
5. Checks for missing and damaged items - reporting faults and damages
6. Ensuring a high standard of good housekeeping, health & safety, cleanliness and security to meet company policies and procedures.
7. Checks any equipment prior to use - reporting faults and damages
8. Reprofiles warehouse layout with regards to product consumption.
9. Performing warehouse inventory controls via scanner and or through a computer.
10. Manages stock movements accurately, including stock counting and location checks.
11. Performs office admin duties, updating WCS and system information when required
12. Meets individual targets of efficiency and quality in line with objectives and KPI's set
13. Compliant with BRC and H & S audit regulations
14. Communicates effectively to manager about any operational issues that may affect the customer or business
Knowledge/Skills:
15. Fluent in English verbal and written
16. Ability to 'think on their feet' while working under pressure and to tight deadlines in a busy and demanding environment
17. Excellent communication with effective interpersonal and team-working skills
18. A good working knowledge of warehouse health & safety
19. Excellent planning and organisational skills.
20. Clean car driving license
21. Flexible Approach, self-motivated with great attention to detail
Required Essential Competencies:
22. At least 3 years warehouse experience required
23. Pragmatic and problem-solving approach
24. 'Can do attitude' and ability to work proactively
25. Excellent communication skills both oral and written
26. Physically fit capable of manual handling up to 25kg
27. Counterbalance and Bendi License's an advantage but not necessary
28. Must have the legal right to work in the UK (without sponsorship)

8am-5pm (30 minutes paid and 30 minutes unpaid)
