EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS
Essential criteria
1. Registered Nurse with NMC
2. Degree level educated
Desirable criteria
3. Commitment to work towards additional qualifications / degree level education
4. teaching qualification
5. leadership or management course or qualification
SKILLS/ ABILITIES
Essential criteria
6. Effective verbal, written and electronic communication with excellent customer care skills
7. Substantial clinical and managerial experience at Band 7
8. Understanding of ward and divisional safe staffing using healthroster and safe care tools
Desirable criteria
9. Experienced at change management or introducing new ways of working
10. Able to write and deliver quality improvement plans
11. Experience in working with frail, older patients and those with dementia
Management of Staff and resources
Essential criteria
12. Experience in staff recruitment, development and retention
13. Experience in employee management using HR policy and procedures
14. Able to understand ward budget and evidence financial control
Desirable criteria
15. Understanding of ward accreditation process and requirements
