Part of Qima Coffee – recognised globally for our pioneering sourcing, genetics research, and farmer-first approach – Qima Café is a space where storytelling, craft, and hospitality meet in every cup and plated dessert.
What you’ll do
* Lead and inspire the barista team, setting the tone for quality, consistency, and hospitality.
* Oversee daily dial-ins, calibrations, and workflow to ensure every coffee meets Qima’s standards.
* Train and mentor baristas and senior baristas, building technical skill and guest-facing confidence.
* Collaborate with the Head of Quality and kitchen teams on new drinks, menu launches, and seasonal offerings.
* Take responsibility for coffee equipment care, cleanliness, and maintenance reporting.
* Support the Store Manager in shaping service flow, guest experience, and sales growth.
* Act as a brand ambassador, sharing the Qima story and representing the café in events and competitions.
What we’re looking for
* Proven barista experience with strong technical skills across espresso, milk, and filter brewing.
* A natural trainer and mentor, able to coach and motivate others on the job.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to balance craft focus and commercial awareness.
* Passion for specialty coffee and curiosity for origins, processing, and innovation.
* Reliability, adaptability, and the ambition to grow as Qima Café expands into new sites.
