Sewell Wallis is delighted to be working with a well-known organisation in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, which is looking to recruit a part-time Accounts Assistant into their team (3 days per week).
As the business continues to be a leader in its field, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Accounts Assistant who is either currently studying or looking to study, ideally CIMA/ACCA.
What will you be doing?
* Assist with the weekly production of accounts
* Produce key details for the weekly pack
* Review costs and explain variances to stakeholders across the business in a clear and understandable way
* Create weekly and monthly journals
* Partner with Operations to ensure they are aware of the cost of their drivers
* Review weekly operations trackers and liaise with Operations to resolve discrepancies
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations
* Raise purchase orders and liaise with external suppliers
* Handle ad hoc queries from the Accounts Assistant
What skills are we looking for?
* Ideally studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA
* Ability to work in a busy environment
* Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
* Comfortable working under pressure
