Job Purpose
As Employee Engagement Officer, your main responsibility will be to drive employee engagement through the development, launch and management of a new employee engagement platform. You will work with colleagues across the organisation to curate and write interesting, engaging and accessible content for it, and train and support colleagues to get the most out of this platform.
Key Responsibilities
To work with colleagues to produce and curate engaging content for the platform, including articles, blogs news updates, announcements, and multimedia materials.
Ensure content is accurate, accessible, up to date, aligned with RCVS values and objectives, and follows our brand and style guidelines, and to
1. Design the layout of the platform and content pages
2. Contribute to and execute plans to drive employee engagement with the platform
3. Identify opportunities to enhance and increase the employees experience of using the platform
4. Conduct training and workshops to help colleagues learn how to use the platform effectively
5. Provide ongoing support and assistance to employees, addressing queries and troubleshooting
6. Collaborate with senior colleagues, subject matter experts and other key stakeholders to plan and collate content requirements
7. Work closely with the IT team and platform provider to implement enhancements and manage technical issues
8. Monitor platform use metrics, conduct feedback surveys/polls, and analyse data to assess engagement levels and identify areas for improvement.
9. Prepare regular reports and insights for senior colleagues, highlighting key trends and performance indicators
10. Develop promotional campaigns and communication materials to raise awareness of the intranet and its benefits
11. Act as a champion for the intranet platform, promoting its value and encouraging participation across the RCVS and RCVS Knowledge
12. Work with colleagues in the People team to identify key information for updating and sharing
Essential Qualifications
13. GCSE English (Grade five or above)
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
14. Experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or intranet management
15. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create and curate engaging content
16. Experience of designing and implementing employee engagement platforms, content management systems and related technologies
17. Ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
18. Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
19. Proactive attitude with a passion for driving positive change
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
20. Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, or relevant experience in any of these fields.
21. Experience of project management, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
