Simply Education is recruiting three passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a unique and nurturing specialist school in the Chard area. Whether you have previous SEN experience or come from a background in care, youth work, outdoor education, sports coaching, support work, or mental health services, we'd love to hear from you. Why You'll Love This Role No two days are the same Small class sizes and personalised support Outdoor learning and hands-on activities Supportive and welcoming team environment Make a genuine difference every single day You'll work closely with pupils who may have a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties, helping them access education, build independence, and reach their full potential. Your Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual student needs. Support pupils with learning, communication, emotional regulation, and social development. Encourage confidence, independence, and positive behaviour. Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities. Support students during outdoor learning sessions, educational visits, and enrichment activities. Help implement EHCP targets alongside teachers, therapists, and specialist staff. Provide personal care and pastoral support when required. What We're Looking For We're seeking caring, resilient, and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about supporting young people. You'll ideally have: Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults. An interest in SEN, Autism, SEMH, or additional learning needs. A positive and patient approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Confidence working in both classroom and outdoor environments. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
