Abbey Farm Educate Together is a new free school that opened in September 2022, in a brand-new building, the school will eventually serve 420 pupils, plus pre-school and will act as a community hub for residents of the new Abbey Farm development. We are part of Educate Together Academy Trust that also has schools in Bristol, Bath, Keynsham and Weston-Super-Mare.
AFET is looking for a lunchtime playworker to:
1. support in the clearing up of the dining hall and kitchen
2. guiding children at playtime, joining in and leading play activities
3. create a safe and friendly atmosphere at lunchtime
4. support and encourage children during lunch, helping the younger children cut up their food, sit properly at the table, eat their meal
5. encourage positive behaviour
6. work as part of our hard working team
Ideally, you will have experience working with children and will be able to demonstrate an interest in encouraging their play and keeping them safe.
We can offer a supportive atmosphere, full training and involvement in all relevant school decisions. You will need to be a good communicator so excellent verbal and written English is essential.

The salary is NJC02 which is £12.65 per hour. The hours are Monday to Friday 11.30am to 1.45pm term time only. The actual salary for these hours is £5,643.
