The role
Behaviour Support Assistant – Wythenshawe We are currently recruiting for a resilient and proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to work within a supportive school setting in Wythenshawe . This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who may display challenging behaviour, helping them to engage positively with their learning and develop key social and emotional skills. Key Responsibilities: Support pupils with behavioural needs on a 1:1 or small group basis Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation Support the class teacher in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour Requirements: Previous experience working with children with behavioural needs (e.g. SEMH, ADHD, ASD) Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach Resilient, confident, and able to handle challenging situations Excellent communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting young people What we offer: A supportive and welcoming school environment Ongoing training and development opportunities The chance to make a real impact on pupils’ lives Competitive daily rate If you are passionate about supporting students with behavioural needs and are looking for a fulfilling role, we would love to hear from you.
