Surrey County Council is looking for a Senior Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities (CWD) Service based in Woking. This is a brilliant opportunity to work within a specialist team that sits within Surrey's Family Safeguarding Model, offering a joined-up, multi-disciplinary approach to support children with additional needs and their families. You'll be based at Victoria Gate, a bright, modern office in central Woking with great facilities and subsidised parking - and just five minutes from the train station. About the role As a Senior Social Worker in the CWD Service, you'll carry a caseload of complex cases involving children and young people with significant disabilities and additional needs. You'll lead on assessments, care planning and multi-agency interventions - and provide support to less experienced team members through supervision, mentoring and modelling best practice. Your work will focus on safeguarding, promoting independence, and making sure that every child has the chance to thrive, regardless of their needs or circumstances.
