Job Description
Astro Education is seeking a qualified and experienced Dance Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a full-time position starting immediately, teaching Dance across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about inspiring students and raising attainment in Dance.
Key Responsibilities
*
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Dance lessons to students aged 11–16 (KS3 & KS4).
*
Support students’ learning, progress, and achievement in Dance.
*
Contribute to extra-curricular Dance activities and school events.
*
Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive learning environment.
*
Take on full teaching responsibilities including planning, assessment, and reporting.
Essential Requirements
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised Dance teaching qualification.
*
Experience teaching Dance to secondary school students (11–16).
*
Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
*
Flexible, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching.
*
Willingness to work with a range of students, including those with SEN.
*
Ability to work core school hours, Monday to Friday.
