Job Description
Based at either Rowan or Logan Cottage, 10 James Chalmers Road, Arbroath.
This job is Workstyle 1 - Fixed
In this Workstyle, most of your time is spent undertaking the direct delivery of front-line services work. Depending on your role, there may be a limited requirement to access a specific council location during the course of the working week if you are not delivering your service at a council location.
We would like to offer you a loving, fun, and safe space, to be you and dream big.
If you think you can be part of the vision for residential childcare, then we have an exciting opportunity at both Rowan and Logan House.
Brambles Cottages consists of two bespoke cottages, Rowan and Logan, both on the same site. Both are modern facilities designed to meet the individual needs of the children and young people we support. Both cottages can cater for looked-after young people aged 5 to 21 years, who will have experienced early life trauma.
Our services are inclusive and accessible to all children, and the team provides love, care, and support to children and young people within Angus.
Our residential childcare workers create homely, welcoming environments in which children can develop a sense of emotional safety and belonging.
We are looking for workers with resilience who have the right personal skills and experience to support our young people.
Our services run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the working pattern supports this. You may therefore be asked to carry out sleep-in and occasional waking night duties, for which an allowance is payable. Workers need to have access to their own car and business insurance.
For further information about our residential services, please watch our video here.
Please note: This post is not eligible for UK visa sponsorship as the salary does not meet the Home Office requirements. Applicants should only apply if they do not require UK visa sponsorship.
Any questions, please email the Team Leaders for the houses: Laura at munrol@angus.gov.uk or Kate at McInearneyK@angus.gov.uk.
Interviews will be held in late August/early September 2025.
