Job Description:
As a Mechanical Technician at a leading waste-to-energy facility, you will be responsible for executing reactive and preventative maintenance across all process, building, and site systems. This role requires a Mechanical Technician with a recognized apprenticeship and extensive experience in heavy industrial environments.
This company is a leader in waste-to-energy management, operating 30 sites globally and currently commissioning a new state-of-the-art site in Essex with a billion-pound investment. You will be part of a team responsible for the launch and ongoing maintenance of this new facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform fault finding, planned, reactive, and breakdown maintenance on mechanical machinery.
* Deliver services within an IMS environment.
* Execute planned and unplanned shutdown activities.
* Work with a "safe system" of work in a permit-to-work environment.
* Support external maintenance service providers.
Your Profile:
* NVQ Level 3 (preferred) / HNC / HND with significant heavy industry experience.
* Proven maintenance experience in complex operational environments (e.g., Oil & Gas, Recycling, Sewage Works, Cement, Petrochemical, Heavy Industrial Process).
* Knowledge of boilers/furnaces and/or rotating equipment.
* Experience with cranes and heavy lifting.
* Knowledge of SAP (desirable).
