2nd Line Support Engineer - Cornwall - On Site

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
2nd Line Support Engineer required for leading client based in Cornwall. Our client is seeking a 2nd line support engineer to deliver outstanding customer service and technical assistance to their clients across the Southwest and beyond. The ideal candidate will be adept at communicating with both people and computers, dedicated to enhancing our clients' experiences. Responsibilities include managing the helpdesk, supporting and mentoring first-tier engineers. Key responsibilities:
* Delivering 2nd Line technical support to diverse businesses across various industries.
* Serving as a primary resource for 1st Line engineers, aiding in their comprehension and problem-solving.
* Supporting field engineers with your expertise, offering on-site assistance as needed.
* Conducting comprehensive research and planning for a wide array of projects, implementing them effectively.
* Managing and overseeing the helpdesk, diagnosing and resolving issues, and executing necessary upgrades or repairs.
* Promptly escalating support issues to 3rd Line when necessary.
* Monitoring security threats and vulnerabilities, implementing security protocols, and ensuring compliance with data security regulations.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a support desk or IT role.
Possession of a valid driver's license (vehicle access preferred but not mandatory).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced helpdesk environment, managing time effectively.
Proficiency in Office 365 (Email, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure AD).
Strong grasp of networking concepts (LAN, WAN, VLAN, WIFI, IPSEC, VPN).
Familiarity with onsite/offsite backup solutions and storage, including cloud-based options.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Knowledge and experience with Windows Servers (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, GPOs, Print Management, AD Sync).
Technical certifications such as CompTIA A+ are advantageous but not mandatory.
