Accountant

We are seeking an organised and proactive Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of a growing organisation. This role is central to ensuring accurate financial processing, supporting internal teams, and contributing to continuous process improvement across the business.
This is an officebased position and ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, takes pride in high-quality financial management, and is confident supporting colleagues and customers alike.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Processing & Management
1. Handle daily bookkeeping transactions
2. Manage cashflow and financial forecasting
3. Process supplier payments and manage related documentation
4. Raise and issue customer invoices
5. Respond to supplier and customer finance queries
6. Mentor and support an apprentice within the finance function
7. Produce management accounts and ad hoc financial reports for senior leadership
Customer Service & Internal Support
8. Provide administrative and customer service support, including answering calls and booking customer services when required
9. Build and maintain strong working relationships across internal departments
10. Uphold a positive, professional image of the organisation through warm and supportive communication
11. Share information clearly and effectively with directors, colleagues, and external partners
12. Promote a customerfocused approach, managing complaints and issues promptly and constructively
13. Take responsibility for ongoing personal and professional development
What We're Looking For
14. Highly organised with strong time-management capabilities
15. Previous experience in a similar finance or accounting role with broad exposure to business finances
16. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
17. Comfortable working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and adapting to shifting priorities
18. High attention to detail with strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
19. Ability to present and explain financial information clear
Nice to Have
20. Experience using Xero (beneficial but not essential)
