The Hygiene Operative Role encompasses a variety of duties, including:
* Issuing and restocking consumables and PPE items
* Deep cleaning of production equipment and building surfaces, including floors, walls, and ceilings
* Supporting GMP cleaning activities, such as removing floor waste, cleaning drain pots, and break-time cleaning of production machinery
* Operating mobile medium pressure washing systems
* Cleaning racks, frames, trolleys, product trays, and waste trays
* Operating and cleaning tray wash machines
* Sweeping and manual mopping of floors
* Handling and working safely with chemicals
* Cleaning and storing cleaning equipment and machinery properly after use
* Using floor cleaning equipment such as scrubber driers
* Responding to body fluid spills and residues in a controlled manner
* Removing waste and cleaning bins, ensuring correct waste segregation to support recycling and cost control
* Issuing clean laundry items to staff entering the factory
* Working in cold, wet, and misty environments for extended periods
* Performing physically demanding tasks over large areas, requiring good fitness and flexibility
* Maintaining high standards of hygiene, health & safety, and employee well-being in all cleaning tasks
* Potentially undertaking Front of House Hygiene Duties, including cleaning toilets, urinals, and sinks, regardless of gender
* Preparing areas for high-profile visitors and clients to create a positive impression
* Working various shifts, including 12-hour shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Key Areas:
* Completing tasks fully and to the correct standard as trained
* Working diligently and efficiently to meet deadlines without compromising quality
* Signing off relevant paperwork to confirm task completion
* Following instructions from Team Leaders and Hygiene Managers and working flexibly
