Recruitment Director: Sales & Marketing | Operations & Technical | Accounts & Finance | Executive Search
Sales Engineer – Field Sales – 70% account management & development, 30% new business. Own 30+ engineering & manufacturing related accounts.
Salary – Negotiable basic up to £55,000 with year 1 OTE/bonus £12,000, company car or allowance, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and grow an account base and revenue stream within engineering and manufacturing clients.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with decision‑makers in large production, manufacturing or workshop/engineering environments.
* Drive new business and expand existing accounts, achieving 70% of revenue from account growth.
* Identify and close opportunities for new accounts in automotive and related sectors.
* Act as a go‑getter and networker, cultivating new leads and converting them into sales.
* Provide technical sales support and engineering solution discussions with clients.
* Report directly to the Sales Director and work closely with the account team.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience managing manufacturing/engineering accounts within a small to mid‑size business.
* Strong technical mindset and ability to discuss engineering/manufacturing solutions confidently.
* Excellent relationship building, negotiation and communication skills.
* Entrepreneurial growth mindset and ability to drive results independently.
* Ability to commute to Rugby (or close proximity) for one day a week.
* Experience in automotive sector or similar (highly desirable).
