Teaching Assistant Level 3
Salary: Grade E SCP11 SCP17
Actual salary: £20,015 - £22,063 per annum
Plus SEN Allowance: £1,094 per annum
Hours: 31.75 hours per week, Term Time Plus 5 days
Start date: September 2025
The school wishes to appoint a Teaching Assistant with experience working with students with special needs, including those with Educational Healthcare Plans, their families, and supporting agencies. The role focuses on supporting learning, positive behaviour, and social skills development for students diagnosed with Developmental Language Disorders. The successful applicant will work within the Speech and Language resource provision, liaising with teachers, parents, and therapists.
We seek an outstanding and caring professional who can:
1. Work directly with DLD students within the resource provision, under guidance of teaching/senior staff, to implement work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom.
2. Assist in acquiring and using specialist knowledge, helping in planning, management, and resource preparation.
3. Supervise the resource provision during the absence of the Lead teacher / Level 4 Teaching Assistant.
