Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting skilled and adaptable professionals to provide cover support across a range of specialist SEN and SEMH provisions in and around Shepton Mallet. This is a supply-based, part-time opportunity with a September 2026 start, although earlier placements may be available for suitable candidates. About the Role This position is ideal for individuals who are confident working within specialist educational settings and can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and staff. As this is ad hoc cover work, we are looking for people who can hit the ground running and confidently step into a variety of classroom environments. Supporting pupils with additional learning needs. Assisting with academic, emotional and social development. Working alongside teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support. Promoting engagement and participation within lessons. Encouraging independence and confidence. Supporting behaviour strategies and positive outcomes. Providing one-to-one and small-group assistance when required. What We Are Looking For Previous SEN, SEMH or specialist education experience. A proactive and resilient approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
