Project Manager - Commercial Interior Construction
* Office-based in Norwich, Norfolk.
* Nationwide Site Visits with use of a Pool Car.

The subcontractor client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing commercial construction business delivering high-quality interior projects across the UK. Working in partnership with Tier 1 contractors, the role involves managing multiple fit‑out and interior construction projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery to the highest standards of quality, cost, and programme. This is a dynamic, hands‑on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys taking full ownership of projects from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage multiple concurrent interior fit‑out projects ranging from 20,000 to 1,000,000 in value.
* Take full ownership of project delivery, including budgets, programmes, and resources.
* Act as the primary point of contact for Tier 1 Construction Contractor clients and key stakeholders.
* Oversee the project lifecycle including planning, procurement, delivery, and handover.
* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, specifications, and health & safety standards.
* Monitor project costs, manage variations, and ensure profitability targets are achieved.
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain programme timelines.
* Conduct regular site visits nationwide to review progress, resolve issues, and maintain client relationships.
* Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring proactive problem‑solving throughout the project lifecycle.
* Produce and maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and forecasts.
What They're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
* Commercial construction interior / fit‑out experience would be an advantage.
* Strong understanding of working with or alongside Tier 1 contractors.
* Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects simultaneously across varying values.
* Solid commercial and budget management skills.
* Strong contractual knowledge (e.g., JCT contracts) and experience managing contract delivery.
* A pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach with excellent organisational skills.
* Willingness and flexibility to travel nationwide for site visits (Full Manual UK Driving Licence required).
* A PRINCE2 or similar project management qualification and solid knowledge of the methodology is highly desirable.
