Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in the role of Deputy Manager. In this role you will:
* Positively support the Registered Manager in providing leadership to the administration, care, and support functions of the service
* Deputise for the function of the Registered Manager during their absence, while at all times supporting the decisions made by the Registered Manager
* Provide ad-hoc care or senior cover as required.
* Provide on-call cover on a rota basis opposite the Registered Manager with alternating weekends.
* Ensure residents are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
* Ensure all recording systems and organisational documentation are of a high standard and kept up to date
* Ensure all staff at the service receive formal supervision and appraisals.
* Oversee the duty rota monthly in advance ensuring the correct skills and numbers on duty.
* Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service.
Skills & Qualifications
* Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care or above (or willing to work towards).
* 2 years' supervisory experience in a care home setting.
* Knowledge of CQC regulatory requirements and local policies.
* Self-motivated and resilient.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in care planning and rota planning.
