We are seeking a General Assistant to support our Drainage Engineers and Tanker Drivers. This role will provide you with training in order to move into a Drainage Engineer position further down the line. This would ideally suit someone from a civils/ground working background. We will provide full training – working towards becoming an Engineer within 6-12 months.
Your main responsibilities will be:
* To support our Engineers in carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning clearance, repair and maintenance of our customer’s drains
* To deliver an exceptional standard of customer service
* To ensure you work in accordance with H&S and Quality Assurance procedures
* Communicate effectively with clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times
Ideal candidates will:
* Have a positive, flexible, can‑do attitude
* Want to be part of a growing and progressive business
* Be willing to work some unsociable hours
* Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors
* Have a keen interest and desire to progress within the drainage industry
* Be willing to work towards NVQ level 2 drainage or equivalent
* Must have full clean UK driving license and own vehicle
