Oxford City Council has an opportunity for a Building Safety Manager to manage higher-risk buildings within its portfolio on a day-to-day basis. Ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and associated regulations. You will maintain and update Building Safety Cases for high-rise and medium-rise buildings, provide information to the Building Safety Regulator, and support health and safety compliance across housing and commercial investment properties.
You will be working within an innovative and forward-thinking team that provides excellent customer service, where you can utilise your strong interpersonal and communication skills. This is a specialist role with significant regulatory, operational, and reputational responsibility. It demands a high level of competency, formal qualification, and accountability to meet the standards expected by the Building Safety Regulator and Housing Regulator.
You will need to be self-motivated, adaptable and flexible in your approach to work and be an effective communicator, possess negotiation and influencing skills with a wide range of stakeholders including customers, partners and external agencies both orally and in writing, including the compilation of reports.
