We are looking to recruit a Specialty Doctor in Old Age Psychiatry for a fixed term period of 12 months. This is a full time post working alongside our excellent teams in older adult mental health. The post is based in Lytham Unit in Lytham St Annes; working for the Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team and the Community Mental Health Team for the Fylde Coast South. Main duties of the job The main duties of this post is to provide medical input to the Older Adult RITT and CMHT services. The requirement is for both direct care and advice/consultancy to members of the team, GPs and other practitioners. The setting in which patients are seen reflects their needs. The post holder will be expected to adopt a collaborative multidisciplinary approach to patient care according to the principles of new ways of working. There may be the opportunity to join the On Call rota, for which additional remuneration is available. About us To be eligible to apply for this post, you must possess at least 3 years experience in psychiatry and be fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice. Ideally, you will be Section 12 Approved, or eligible for approval at the time of commencing employment.
