Job summary: To ensure efficient day-to-day management of the UK sales ledger, enabling timely cash collection, effective credit risk management, and accurate customer account administration. Main Responsibilities: Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the sales ledger. Proactively monitor aged receivables and undertake timely collection activities to reduce overdue debt and improve cash flow performance. Identify and escalate potential credit risks or non-payment issues to management in a timely manner. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations associated with the sales ledger. Support the reporting process to local management and US corporate function. Support the statutory accounts, audit, tax and SOX process where required. Support various reporting processes during the month. Proactive resolution to customer queries regarding their accounts. Accurate and timely allocation of cash to invoices/credit notes. Support continuous improvement initiatives and ad hoc finance projects as required. Skill requirements: Strong analytical and problem-solving capability. Proactively supports innovation and change. Ability to prioritise workload and deliver results within agreed deadlines. Demonstrates a structured and organized approach to their work Previous experience in credit control or sales ledger environment. Equivalent experience or AAT Level 2/3 (or working towards). Intermediate Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables) and experience using ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Experience working to strict month-end and reporting deadlines. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX desirable (training provided).
