We are working with a vibrant high school in the Pendle Area who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). This is an exciting opportunity to lead the SEND provision, champion inclusion, and work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies to create an environment where all learners can succeed. The school is located in Barnoldswick on the Lancashire/Yorkshire border with Burnley, Nelson, Colne and Clitheroe just a short drive away and Leeds and Preston drivable in under an hour. Your new role As SENCO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality SEND provision across the school. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead the implementation of the SEND policy, ensure it aligns with the Academy Development and Improvement Plan, and contribute to whole-school self-evaluation. Your responsibilities include identifying and coordinating support for students with SEND, maintaining accurate records, and providing training and guidance to staff. You will act as the key liaison with parents, external agencies, and the local authority, oversee EHCP reviews, and monitor student progress through data analysis and targeted interventions.
