GSL Education are welcoming applications from newly qualified Early Career Maths Teacher who are eager to begin or continue their teaching journey in a supportive and forward-thinking school located in Stockton. You will join a thriving Mathematics department that values innovation, clarity in teaching, and strong classroom relationships. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Maths pedagogy, excellent subject knowledge, and the enthusiasm to create engaging lessons tailored to all ability levels.
Key Responsibilities of the ECT Teacher Maths:
* Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with national curriculum standards.
* Support pupils in developing problem-solving skills and mathematical confidence.
* Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs across different key stages.
* Participate in school life, including staff meetings, training, and parent communication.
* Engage in mentoring and induction programmes as part of your ECT development.
* Participate in ECT induction programmes and departmental CPD
* Work collaboratively with staff and maintain regular communication with parents/carers.
Job Requirements of the ECT Teacher Maths:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS as part of the ECT programme.
* Prior experience in teaching or tutoring Mathematics, preferably within a school setting.
* A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.
* A strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and a passion for teaching, with a commitment to fostering academic excellence.
* Passion for Mathematics and a commitment to delivering outstanding education.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
