⭐Senior Quality, Safety & Sustainability Manager
📍Location: Mix of remote working, office (Lincoln) and travel to sites. Need to be based roughly within an hour and half commute to Lincoln.

The Opportunity
A leading UK-based engineering group is seeking a Senior Quality, Safety & Sustainability Manager to take ownership of QSS strategy and delivery across a multi-site organisation. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for driving compliance, continuous improvement, and ESG initiatives across a diverse portfolio of businesses within the industrial and fluid power sector. You will play a key role in shaping culture, improving operational standards, and ensuring best-in-class quality, safety, and sustainability performance across the group.
✅Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain QSS policies aligned with legislation and industry standards
* Lead group-wide health & safety, quality, and environmental strategy
* Conduct audits, risk assessments, and ensure robust compliance frameworks are in place
* Drive ISO standards (9001, with 14001 & 45001 advantageous) across all business units
* Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
* Oversee health & safety systems, including reporting of accidents, near-misses, and improvements
* Support ESG initiatives, including sustainability, waste reduction, and employee wellbeing
* Manage business continuity planning, PPE, COSHH, and emergency procedures
* Deliver training and coaching to improve QSS awareness and engagement
* Report on KPIs, performance, and improvement projects to senior leadership
* Lead and develop a small QSS team
* Manage departmental budgets
✅About You
* Proven experience in a senior QSS / HSE / Quality leadership role
* Background in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments preferred
* Strong knowledge of ISO9001 (ISO14001 and ISO45001 desirable)
* Experience implementing and managing integrated management systems
* NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) – or willingness to obtain
* Strong understanding of ESG, sustainability, and environmental legislation
* Experience leading audits and driving continuous improvement initiatives
* Confident communicator, able to influence at all levels
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
