Summary
This role will be to provide general DIY maintenance and repairs at a number of buildings and properties to ensure they are kept in good condition, secure and safe.
Responsibilities
* General repairs and maintenance across all sites and private rental properties (not limited to)
* Undertaking minor electrical tasks (replacing bulbs/rewiring sockets, installing alarms, doorbells etc)
* Undertaking small plumbing repairs (washers, taps, unblocking toilets, unblocking stacks, installing new sinks, urinals and toilets etc)
* Roof repairs and guttering
* Report and promptly action any faults
* Keep the grounds tidy
* Masonry work on external walls or steps, laying slabs, erecting fences, laying vinyl flooring, glazing and replacing glass, replacing locks
* Hanging doors and fitting skirting boards
* Landscaping (mowing lawns, trimming hedges bushes and trees)
* Ensure safe disposal of hazardous waste products
* General property upkeep (Painting, decorating, clearing debris)
* Work is to be carried out safely and in accordance to safety standards
* Liaising with Line Manager and other site workers and performing jobs as and when they are required
* Carry out planned tasks in accordance with contract/agreed requirements
* Ensure compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety
* Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work
* Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
Requirements
* Previous experience in maintenance or multi trade role (preferred)
* Basic IT literacy for job tracking and communication
* Full UK Driving Licence (travel required between sites)
* Problem solving/troubleshooting
* Good communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Organised
* Ability to manage workload independently
* Professional, courteous manner when dealing with customers and tenants
