They are currently seeking a Legal Project Manager to support the delivery of major client matters and drive operational excellence across their legal teams.
Key Responsibilities of the Legal Project Manager
* Partnering with lawyers to support matter delivery, ensuring work is completed efficiently and aligned with client expectations
* Establishing and maintaining project management tools, processes and governance on assigned matters
* Supporting Senior Legal Project Managers across multiple workstreams and strategic initiatives
* Assisting with pitch materials, client presentations and matter proposals
* Working with senior stakeholders to scope matters, agree budgets and pricing structures, plan resourcing, liaise with third parties, and identify technology solutions
* Supporting matter planning and kick-off activities, ensuring client requirements are understood, documented and incorporated throughout the project lifecycle
* Managing matters end-to-end, providing oversight on scope, timelines, financials, resourcing and risk while continuously seeking efficiencies
* Monitoring progress against plan, maintaining accurate reporting, and coordinating matter debriefs to capture lessons learned
Skills & Attributes of the Legal Project Manager
* Proven experience as a Legal Project Manager within a law firm or in-house legal function, with a track record of independently managing a portfolio of legal or professional services projects
* A recognised project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 or equivalent) is desirable
* Experience working closely with senior stakeholders, ideally including direct client-facing involvement
* Highly organised, detail-focused and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication skills, able to influence, guide and collaborate with lawyers and business teams at all levels
* Confident, professional and proactive, with the ability to promote best-practice standards in legal project management and support continuous improvement
