HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic Astley M29 £17.00 £20.00 per hour (depending on experience) Full-Time | 48 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday (Weekend Work Required) An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join our busy workshop team in Astley. We are looking for a qualified HGV Mechanic to work on our own fleet of vehicles and trailers. A Class 1 (CE) licence would be ideal, but this is not essential for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: Repair company vehicles and trailers safely and efficiently in line with current regulations Carry out mandatory VOSA inspections and MOT preparation Fault diagnosis and repair Strip, fit, and replace components as required Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure deadlines are met Maintain high housekeeping standards in line with Health & Safety requirements Use appropriate PPE at all times Communicate effectively with the Transport Manager Be flexible with shift patterns where required Skills & Experience: Minimum 2 years experience as an HGV Technician (preferred) CE entitlement (Class 1) preferred but not essential Experience with Scania and Volvo vehicles preferred Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Basic numeracy and literacy skills to complete documentation Self-motivated with the ability to use initiative Full driving licence preferred What We Offer: Competitive hourly rate (£17£20 per hour, negotiable depending on experience) Full-time, permanent position On-site parking Productive, well-run workshop environment Opportunity to work on a maintained fleet If youre a reliable and experienced HGV Technician looking to join a growing company with a supportive team, wed love to hear from you.
