Job Summary
Graduate of Music with a keyboard specialism, ideally with a supplementary ability in coaching team sports, will join the music departments at Eastbourne College and St Andrew’s Prep. The successful candidate will inspire pupils aged 7‑18, delivering high‑quality teaching from KS2 to A level and leading performance‑based ensembles at both institutions. The post also involves contribution to the College’s team‑games programme and pastoral support within a pupil house.
Responsibilities
* Teach music to pupils aged 7‑18 across KS2 to A level.
* Lead performance ensembles at Eastbourne College and St Andrew’s Prep.
* Co‑teach or coach team sports within the College’s team‑games programme.
* Provide tutoring and pastoral work in a College pupil house.
* Spend a greater proportion of the working week at Eastbourne College.
Qualifications & Experience
* Graduate of Music, ideally with a keyboard specialism.
* Supplementary interest or experience in coaching team sports.
* Strong teaching and lesson‑planning skills.
Contract
Initial two‑year fixed term, starting on 1 September 2026 (or later in the autumn of 2026 for the right candidate), with the potential for a more substantive contract thereafter.
