An established specialty insurance business is looking to hire a Claims Reinsurance Technician to join its Group Claims function, supporting a growing portfolio of proportional treaty business.
This is a specialist technical role focused on the administration, reconciliation and processing of proportional treaty accounts. Working closely with internal claims, underwriting and finance teams, as well as brokers and cedents, you will play a key role in ensuring financial data is accurate, payments are processed correctly, and accounts are managed to a high standard.
This opportunity would suit someone with experience in proportional treaty accounting, reinsurance operations, or a similar technical insurance support role who enjoys working in a detailed, process-driven environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Reviewing and processing proportional treaty accounts
* Reconciling premium against claims activity, reserves and other account movements
* Validating submitted financials against supporting documentation and treaty terms
* Processing settlements and accurately recording transactions on internal systems
* Investigating and resolving discrepancies with brokers and internal stakeholders
* Supporting the wider claims function with accurate account information and reporting
* Helping to maintain high service standards across a growing and profitable book of business
Requirements:
* Experience handling proportional treaty accounts, reinsurance technical processing, or related insurance/reinsurance operations work
* Strong numerical and reconciliation skills
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Confidence working across claims, underwriting, finance and broker relationships
* The ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively during busy periods
* Good Excel and general systems skills
