Overview
A globally recognised and esteemed law firm is seeking a Payroll & Compensation Manager to join their London office on a fixed-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead payroll and benefits operations in a dynamic, global law firm.
Role
Reporting to the Director of HR, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant, and client-focused support across payroll, compensation, and benefits. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless payroll delivery and benefits administration.
Responsibilities
* Lead monthly payroll processes and liaise with external providers
* Administer employee benefits, including health, dental, pensions, and wellness schemes
* Support year-end reward processes (P11D, renewals, vouchers)
* Provide data for salary and bonus reviews
* Collaborate on wellness initiatives like Wellbeing Week and Mental Health Day
* Ensure payroll GL reconciliation with Finance
* Respond to ad-hoc compensation and reporting requests
Qualifications
* Professional services payroll experience, preferably within a law firm
* Proven experience in payroll, compensation, and benefits
* Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
* Experience in law or professional services
* Familiarity with HRIS platforms (preferably UKG)
* Detail-oriented, proactive, and calm under pressure
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
