Brightpoint Community College is seeking a qualified individual for Program Support Coordinator (PSC) for Nursing which provides academic support to nursing students through structured group study sessions, tutoring, and skill-building activities. This role is designed to reinforce course content, promote collaborative learning, and enhance student success in nursing coursework. Facilitate weekly group study sessions focused on core nursing topics such as anatomy & physiology, pharmacology, nursing fundamentals, and clinical decision-making. Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring to support student understanding of course material and NCLEX preparation. Assist in the Nursing skills lab, guiding students through hands-on practice with clinical procedures, patient assessments, documentation, and use of simulation equipment. Support students in developing effective study habits, critical thinking skills, and test-taking strategies. Collaborate with nursing faculty to ensure instructional support aligns with course objectives and student needs. Develop and share supplemental learning materials, including practice questions, concept maps, and case-based scenarios. Monitor student progress in both academic and lab settings, and provide feedback to faculty as needed. Participate in training and professional development related to tutoring, instruction, and lab facilitation Minimum Qualifications:
Strong academic performance in nursing coursework. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to supporting diverse learners in a respectful and inclusive environment. Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check.Additional Considerations:
Associate or Bachelor’s level preferred. Experience providing tutoring, peer mentoring, or teaching preferred, especially at the college level, ability to use instructional technology, and knowledge of nursing program criteria .
