Job Title: Housing Management & Compliance Coordinator - 12 month FTC
Reports to: Youth Services Manager
Hours of work: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Fixed Term Contract - 12 months
Key Responsibilities:
* Enable young people to sustain their tenancy and take responsibility for their property.
* Empower and instruct on reporting repairs, maintaining cleanliness.
* Assist young people in maximizing and retaining their income.
* Ensure voids meet standards before letting, including cleaning and repairs.
* Help young people pay rent and service charges.
* Support debt management or refer to specialists.
* Prepare weekly arrears reports for the Manager.
* Safeguard the welfare of young people.
* Record and collect rent and payments.
* Inform support staff of concerns or needs.
* Assist with benefit claims and submissions.
* Arrange admissions visits and induction for new residents.
* Support maintenance of accommodation standards.
* Perform administrative tasks like recording payments, safety inspections.
* Contribute to initiatives to support young people and organizational income.
* Coordinate with support staff on tenancy breaches.
Be flexible to provide out-of-hours on-call support, advice, and emergency cover.
Leading the Team:
* Contribute to team development.
* Participate in induction, supervision, and performance management of staff and volunteers.
* Provide cover and participate in an on-call system, including anti-social hours.
* Lead and attend team meetings.
* Report concerns or service gaps to management.
* Deputize for the Youth Services Manager when needed.
* Monitor service delivery and suggest improvements.
* Support colleagues and management respectfully.
Qualifications:
* NVQ 4 Advice & Guidance, Care, or equivalent, or working towards Youth Work, Social Work, or equivalent.
Role Experience:
* Experience working with young people in settings like Youth Work, Residential, Social Work, Probation, Community Work, Education, Training, or Housing.
