Press Brake Operator — VCSP

We're looking for a reliable Press Brake Operator to run press brakes and produce accurate sheet-metal parts. This is a hands-on production role focused on safe, consistent operation, quality and daily engineering tasks to keep production moving.
What you'll do (daily)
* Read and follow engineering drawings and bend schedules.
* Operate manual or CNC press brakes to bend, form and produce sheet-metal parts to specification.
* Enter or confirm machine settings, perform test bends and adjust within operational limits to hit tolerances.
* Measure parts (calipers, protractors, gauges) and carry out in-process and final quality checks; record results.
* Perform finishing tasks such as deburring, grinding, light filing and removing swarf to meet quality standards.
* Load and unload sheet material safely; handle, stack and label parts correctly.
* Carry out routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance; promptly report mechanical faults.
* Keep workstation, tooling and surrounding area clean and organised; follow PPE and all health & safety procedures.
* Collaborate with colleagues in fabrication and assembly to meet daily production targets and resolve minor production issues.
Skills & experience
* Proven experience operating press brakes in a production environment.
* Ability to read technical drawings and follow bend schedules.
* Competent with measuring tools and checking parts to tolerance.
* Practical finishing skills (deburring/grinding) and good attention to detail.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and basic problem-solving.
* Reliable, punctual and able to work under production timelines.
* Physically able to handle sheet material and stand for extended periods.
