Overview
Axcis Education are working with a school in the Leyland area that caters for KS3/KS4 students with SEMH difficulties and learning difficulties. They are looking for a designated safeguarding lead (DSL). The role is full time and you will not be required to teach or work as a classroom support; you will be purely working as a DSL, going through reports daily and liaising with senior management across the school and any outside parties that may need to be alerted.
Responsibilities
* Lead safeguarding and child protection duties as the designated safeguarding lead.
* Review and process safeguarding reports on a daily basis.
* Liaise with senior management team (SMT) and external agencies as required.
* Work from 08:30 to 16:00, with possible slight flexibility on hours.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Completed DSL training.
* Hands-on experience working in a school as a DSL.
* Relevant safeguarding qualifications and up-to-date safeguarding knowledge.
Contract Details
* Full-time role starting on 3 November, long-term placement.
* Salary / pay rate negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
* Location: Leyland area.
