Overview
I am currently recruiting a Senior Category Buyer for a well-known fast paced UK retailer
Responsibilities
* Full P&L accountability for the category, driving sales, margin and cash performance. Develop and execute a clear, data-led category strategy aligned to commercial goals.
* Optimise range, pricing and promotions using trading insight and customer data.
* Manage the full product lifecycle in a promotional retail environment.
* Source and negotiate with suppliers to improve margin, terms and exclusive opportunities
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Commercial, Retail and Marketing to maximise execution and growth.
Key Requirements
* Having experience as Senior Buyer in branded buying.
* Background across branded, non-fashion categories
* Strong commercial acumen
* Solid negotiator skills
* Easily able to build strong supplier relationships
