Hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30-5:00.
A quick look at the role.
This administrative role supports the Packaging and WEEE compliance scheme, including member registration, invoicing, order processing, arranging WEEE collections, invoice reconciliation, and monitoring compliance data.
You will work with compliance managers, scheme members and suppliers to keep records accurate and up to date, support packaging data submissions, and help obtain electrical product sales data (EEE). The role also provides first line support to members while ensuring all processes follow QA procedures and Biffa compliance standards.
Your core responsibilities.
1. Act as first point of contact for member queries via phone and email.
2. Manage member administration, including registrations, database updates and record accuracy.
3. Set up new scheme members and verify company registration details.
4. Collate and pre-check quarterly and annual Packaging and WEEE data returns.
5. Monitor compliance data, identify discrepancies and escalate issues when required.
6. Collect and analyse packaging and EEE data to support regulatory reporting.
7. Provide financial administration, including purchase orders, invoicing support and debt monitoring.
8. Arrange WEEE and battery collections, including quotes, scheduling and evidence reconciliation.
Requirements
Our essential requirements.
9. Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
10. Confident communicator with experience as a first point of contact for customers and suppliers
11. Proficient in Excel (including VLOOKUPs, IF statements) and comfortable working with large data sets
12. Skilled in using MS Office applications, including Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint
13. Experienced with financial and purchasing systems, and in preparing and sending customer communications
14. High level of numeracy and literacy, with knowledge of Producer Responsibility Regulations (preferred)
