Due to succession plans within the automation team, they are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual that wants to train and develop themselves.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for maintaining, repairing and rectifying faults on all site electrical and electronic controls systems: PLCs, HMis, Robotics, Network Systems, Servo Systems
* PLC: electrical fault finding, modifications, basic programming
* Work closely with shift engineering team on rectifying major PLC / electrical issues
* Electrical installation, commissioning, upgrades on control panels, testing and inspections
* Project work: design and development of obsolete motion control systems, PLCs, network systems
* Design and modifications of existing electrical systems
Key knowledge, skills and experience
* Must have at least 5 years experience controls / automation experience
* PLC: electrical fault finding and diagnostics
* Electrical installation, commissioning, testing and inspection
* Must have completed a time:served:apprenticeship: Level 3 or higher
* 18th Edition: beneficial
* Dealt with network systems, HMis, servo systems
* Be a flexible character: happy to occasionally cover shifts if needed
* Ideally have worked in food manufacturing but not essential
* Must have excellent problem solving skills and understanding of relevant codes/regulations
