Due to promotion, an opportunity has arisen in our Supply Team. We are looking for an Assistant Packaging Buyer to join us at Taylors of Harrogate where we blend and manufacture our premium range of tea and coffees, including our famous Yorkshire Tea. As an Assistant Packaging Buyer, you will be responsible for collaborating with and assisting the Packaging Buyers, ensuring supply of goods whilst operating within our company values and governance processes. You will work closely with the Buyers to support them in their categories, whilst owning your own categories up to £2m spend. This is advertised as a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week over 5 days, however If you would like to discuss flexible working or alternate working patterns, please provide more details in your application. We offer flexibility in when and where you complete your hours (e.g. hybrid working and flexitime), but ideally this would include 2-3 days per week collaborating with your team and peers at our offices in Harrogate. About you Previous procurement experience, ideally within FMCG environment CIPS qualified to Level 4 desirable Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint) with the ability to use Excel at intermediate level (Complex VLOOKUP’s, Pivots, formulas etc) Prior experience of using stock management or MRP/ERP systems Ability to work effectively cross functionally, as part of a larger team and individually Ability to communicate effectively with excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written, with both internal and external stakeholders Highly organised and efficient with the ability to prioritise and organise tasks and manage workload A commercial mindset, coupled with curiosity and analytical skills What we offer you As a minimum, all our employees receive free meals, drinks and snacks while at work, a discretionary quarterly profit-share bonus, holiday allowance with the option to buy and (in some cases) sell additional days, company-wide employee discounts, access to our health cash plan, wellbeing support, company funded counselling, and enrolment in the company pension.
