Lecturer opportunity

We're seeking a motivated and learner-focused Lecturer to join our college team. You'll teach across a range of programmes - delivering knowledge, building skills, and creating inclusive learning experiences. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact.

What you'll do:

Plan and deliver learning

* Design and deliver inclusive, high-quality lessons.
* Create engaging learning materials tailored to diverse learner needs.
* Provide clear, constructive feedback to support learner progress.

Support learner development

* Guide academic and personal development through tutorials and pastoral care.
* Maintain accurate records of learner progress and engagement.

Enhance curriculum and quality

* Keep course content current and aligned with industry standards.
* Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.

Collaborate and uphold standards

* Work with colleagues and external partners to enrich the learner experience.
* Promote and uphold safeguarding, equality, and health and safety policies.

What we're looking for

You'll need:

* A relevant subject qualification at Level 3 and above
* A recognised teaching qualification.
* Level 2 English and Maths (e.g. GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent).
* The ability to plan and deliver effective, inclusive teaching for diverse learners.
* Knowledge of subject-specific pedagogy and current teaching practices in further or higher education.
* Clear communication and strong organisational skills.
* Confidence using digital tools to support learning.
* A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and ongoing professional development.

Subject Specific Requirements -

Can you add some colour to the future of our Painting and Decorating students? To be successful you will need to be able to inspire our learners across a full range of qualification topics and units in health and safety in construction, principles of building preparing surfaces and applying paint and paperhanging.

You will be preparing our students for their next steps of employment or perhaps working for themselves in residential homes and commercial buildings.

You will have the opportunity to showcase your ability to lead the next generation of Painters and Decorators to succeed in achieving their qualifications at level 1 and Level 2. You will enable student to enter competitions including Skill Build and inter-college competitions. Where possible, the College also encourages our students to work on charity projects throughout the year.
