Site Engineer – Perth (Permanent)
Our client, a privately-owned civil engineering contractor operating across Scotland, is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in Perth. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on Scottish Water Framework projects and a strong background in civil engineering.
As a Site Engineer, you will be part of a team delivering safe, efficient, and on-time water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will thrive in a supportive, collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation, with the ultimate goal of providing high-quality, cutting-edge engineering solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting out and surveying works on site.
Maintaining a safe working environment and overseeing health and safety compliance.
Ensuring quality control of works.
Implementing strategies as agreed with management.
Liaising with site staff and subcontractors.
Checking design plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy.
Producing 2D & 3D site sketches.
Developing method statements and risk assessments.
Supporting the team and performing other site engineering duties as required.
Undertaking material reconciliations and controlling waste on site.
Communicating regularly with the client.
Mentoring and training junior staff when required.
Candidate Requirements:
Educated to a minimum of HNC level in Civil Engineering.
Previous experience on Scottish Water projects is essential.
Experienced in a heavy civil engineering environment.
Strong experience in setting-out and surveying.
PTS, CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid qualifications are advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
Flexible to work at various locations as required.
Full UK driver’s licence.
