The Home
Carrickfergus Manor is a beautiful residential care and nursing home, located just a short walk from Carrickfergus town. Our home, with a wonderful accessible garden area, is modern and purpose built and is specially designed to comfortably accommodate up to 90 residents.
We provide kind and compassionate residential and nursing care, around the clock, for people over the age of 65, including those living with dementia. Our professional care team is highly-trained and experienced to ensure that the highest levels of care are provided at all times.
The private bedrooms are beautifully furnished, with en-suite toilet facilities. Residents may bring their own home accessories and furniture, to personalise their space and make it their home. The home also has excellent amenities, including comfortable lounge and dining areas in which residents can relax and enjoy the company of others.
Designed to enable those we care for to maintain their independence, Carrickfergus Manor is a safe, well-kept, home-from-home setting, with a wonderful team and a great reputation.
About the role:
As a Care Assistant with Kathryn Homes, you'll join a dedicated team united by a profound desire to positively impact the lives of our residents. We do not require our Care Assistants to have experience although it is beneficial. We are seeking individuals whose empathy and warm-hearted approach stand out. Successful Care Assistants will have a positive, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills. Each day will bring something new, making for a diverse yet incredibly rewarding role.

Desired Criteria
* Educated to QCF/ NVQ Level 2 is desirable, but not essential.
* Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided.
Required Criteria
* Right to work in the UK.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A good standard of oral and written English.
* A non-judgemental approach to others.
* Excellent communication skills with the compassion required to deliver high-quality care to our residents.
* Respectful to not only residents but the values and beliefs of other team members.
