Job Opportunity: Market Access Specialist (UK)

Location: United Kingdom (field-based/hybrid depending on candidate preference)

We are seeking a Market Access Specialist to join a forward-thinking client in the healthcare sector. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping value-based strategies and driving commercial success across the UK healthcare landscape.

About the Role:

As a Market Access Specialist, you will support the execution of strategic initiatives from both a Health Economics and Market Access perspective. Your focus will be on enabling data-driven decision-making, enhancing engagement with key stakeholders, and ensuring optimal product access within the UK healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operational Excellence: Support senior leadership with market access actions across both payers and customers.
* Value Strategy Development: Contribute to the design and execution of reimbursement strategies and economic value tools.
* Data-Driven Insight: Conduct payer data analyses to support targeted sales and marketing actions.
* Tariff Management: Oversee listing processes within the Drug Tariff and maintain compliance.
* ICB Engagement: Build relationships with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) to ensure alignment with evolving healthcare funding mechanisms.
* Strategic Research: Deliver research and value communication materials including economic models, dossiers, and reimbursement training content.
* Internal Enablement: Provide training on NHS funding, market access pathways, and value-based healthcare approaches.
* Environmental Scanning: Monitor trends, competitor activity, and external policies to identify risks and opportunities.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop networks with payers, business leaders, and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
* Marketing Collaboration: Partner with marketing to design innovative value-based campaigns.

Desired Profile:

* Education: Degree in Science, Medicine, Economics, or Engineering preferred. Additional training in health economics or HTA is advantageous.
* Experience:
* Experience with pricing, reimbursement, and health technology assessments (HTAs).
* Familiarity with Hospital Episode Statistics (HES) and hospital coding is a plus.
* European market access exposure—particularly in Germany, France, or Italy—is beneficial but not essential.
* Skills:
* Strong knowledge of NHS funding flows and payment systems.
* Proven commercial acumen in medical device or healthcare settings.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
* Forward-thinking with a proactive, collaborative mindset.
