Disaster Recovery (DR) Specialist £550 per day via Umbrella - 3-month contract Eastleigh Hybrid SCC Flex Contract
We are seeking a highly skilled Disaster Recovery (DR) Planning & Implementation Specialist to support a major data centre migration programme. This role requires an expert who can lead the end-to-end DR strategy, covering planning, architecture design, implementation, testing, and full operational readiness to ensure business continuity throughout the transition.
Your responsibilities as the Disaster Recovery (DR) Specialist:
1. Define and document a comprehensive Disaster Recovery strategy, aligned to organisational resilience objectives.
2. Oversee data centre closure and opening activities, guaranteeing continuity and resilience throughout site transitions.
3. Develop detailed DR runbooks, migration playbooks, and governance frameworks, ensuring complete coverage of critical applications, infrastructure, and data.
4. Plan and execute the consolidation of multiple data centres into a single environment, assessing risks, dependencies, and ensuring robust failover capability with minimal downtime.
5. Establish and manage DR and High Availability (HA) testing cycles, including regular failover and recovery drills.
