We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented specialist to play a pivotal role in monitoring, analysing, and influencing regulatory and policy developments in the GB energy market (with potential involvement in France). In this role, you’ll provide expert insights on industry codes, market frameworks, and government support schemes, while actively contributing to our public affairs and stakeholder engagement strategy. This is a unique opportunity to combine technical expertise with policy impact, and to make your mark in a fast-growing, purpose-driven company at the forefront of renewable energy.## **Job Description:****Key responsibilities****Regulatory and policy analysis*** Monitor, interpret, and analyse regulatory and policy changes impacting the GB power sector, including: CUSC, BSC, GC, other relevant industry code and proposed modifications.* Assess the implications of regulatory changes for the company’s operations, strategy, and commercial position.* Track and support on changes to gov support schemes (CfD, RO, CM).* Prepare clear, concise briefings and recommendations for internal stakeholders, including senior management.* Key areas: Network charging (TNUoS / DUoS), grid connections, support schemes (CfD, RO, CM), onshore wind permitting, community engagement, supply chain policy.**Advocacy and stakeholder engagement*** Prepare clear, concise briefings and recommendations for internal stakeholders, including senior management.* Draft consultation responses, position papers, and briefing materials.* Support Nadara’s activities in trade associations, working groups, and industry forums.* Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders.**Internal support*** Collaborate with commercial/EM, business development, and operational teams to ensure regulatory compliance and strategic alignment.* Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and training on regulatory and policy matters.* Support the RegEng Manager and expansion of the team’s regulatory analysis capacity and public affairs activities.**Skills and experience****Essential:*** Strong understanding of the GB power sector and energy market fundamentals.* Scottish engagement - We are looking for someone with experience in Scottish political and policy landscapes.* Experience analysing regulatory frameworks, industry codes, and policy developments.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulation into clear business implications.* Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.**Desirable**:* Knowledge of French energy market regulation and policy.* French language skills* Experience in public affairs, government relations, or industry representation.* Previous experience in government, regulatory, industry association.**Pay And Benefits** With a genuine culture of reward and recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop and be part of our journey.
