About the Role
We are seeking an Intervention Support Assistant to deliver targeted support for pupils requiring additional learning assistance. This role provides an opportunity to positively impact pupils’ progress, assist teachers with differentiated learning, and help implement intervention strategies that address individual educational needs.
Responsibilities
* Deliver 1:1 or small group support to pupils requiring intervention.
* Assist with lesson planning and preparation for intervention sessions.
* Implement behaviour management strategies and support pupils’ social and emotional development.
* Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to monitor pupil progress and adapt interventions as needed.
* Support pupils with personal care where necessary, ensuring dignity and safety.
* Maintain records of interventions, observations, and outcomes to track effectiveness.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a support role within an educational setting, preferably with SEN pupils.
* Knowledge of intervention strategies, differentiation, and inclusive teaching practices.
* Strong communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
* Ability to adapt approaches to meet individual pupil needs.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection requirements.
